Obama In 2001 Chicago NPR Interview: Supreme Court Never Ventured Into The Issues Of Redistribution Of Wealth
Transcript from STACLU which also provides a full recording of the interview.
If you look at the victories and failures of the civil rights movement and its litigation strategy in the court. I think where it succeeded was to invest formal rights in previously dispossessed people, so that now I would have the right to vote. I would now be able to sit at the lunch counter and order as long as I could pay for it I’d be o.k. But, the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and of more basic issues such as political and economic justice in society. To that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as its been interpreted and Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can’t do to you. Says what the Federal government can’t do to you, but doesn’t say what the Federal government or State government must do on your behalf, and that hasn’t shifted and one of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was, um, because the civil rights movement became so court focused I think there was a tendancy to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalition of powers through which you bring about redistributive change. In some ways we still suffer from that.

Senators Obama and Biden have had their interviews with the media spoon fed to them by an adoring press corps, both Dem candidates are stunned when they are asked tough questions that get to the heart of what their candidacy is all about. Obama was embarrassed by a regular Joe like Joe the Plummer Wurzelbacher in Ohio and Biden is nearly apoplectic when asked by WFTV Channel 9’s Barbara West if his running-mate's ideas for wealth redistribution are Marxist. Biden is so shocked by the directness of the question that he splutters, Are you joking?
You can see the mendaciousness of the Obama-Biden campain played out in this interview. Stunned at the tough questioning about Obama's association with ACORN, an exasperated Joe Biden tells the reporter, I am not embarrassed we are not tied to it. We haven't paid ACORN one single penny to register a single solitary voter. Well, it may be true that the liberal Senators have never directly asked ACORN to go get "Joe Bag-O-Donuts" and "Sally Sixpence" to vote for them but the fact remains that B.O.'s campaign contributed $832,000 to an ACORN affiliated organization this year.
Gateway Pundit points to this October 11th article from the Journal Sentinal. The article reads in part, (t)he group is the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, known as ACORN. The group has boasted of registering some 1.3 million voters, often minorities and the poor, mainly in battleground states.
Its workers and tactics, however, have come under scrutiny in about 11 states, and some workers face possible criminal charges.
In one Indiana county, officials say 2,000 forms were bogus. In Nevada, workers are accused of using the Dallas Cowboys roster on forms. Officials there raided an ACORN office this week.
A host of other instances have been cited: fake names, bad addresses, dead people.
In Milwaukee, where ACORN turned in at least 33,000 registrations, the group improperly used felons as registration workers. Additionally, its workers are among 49 cases of bad registrations sent to authorities for possible charges, as first reported by the Journal Sentinel.
A city election official said Friday that about 90% of the 49 cases were workers for ACORN, with nearly all of the rest part of the Community Voters Project. The 49 individuals submitted about 300 registration cards, all sent to authorities for review.
So far, two people, both with the voters project, have been charged with felonies.
Gateway Pundit and Doug Ross and The Cleveland Leader have more on Obama's long-time association with ACORN.

Are nearly 40% of our citizens so morally bankrupt and spirtually adrift that they mistake a novice U.S. Senator from Hyde Park whose main accomplishments in life consist of working as a "community organizer", voting "Present" nearly 130 times while in his state's senate and writing two books about himself, one whose authorship is suspect, as the Savior of the world?
Instantly, hundreds of people were out of their cars. Directly in front of me, a group of supporters -- evident by their bumper stickers -- jumped out with cameras, cell phones and banners. They began chanting: "The messiah! He's coming! Obama is coming!" The shouting only intensified as the candidate and his entourage -- motorcycles, police cars, black Secret Service Chevy Suburbans, and buses -- roared past us.
What I found so disturbing was seeing so many of my countrymen who apparently think -- or believe or hope -- that the next president of the United States will save us from ourselves.

2008 is an election like none other. Who would have thought that the Republican would come to represent the good, common, everyday working people in a presidential campaign and that the Democrat would come to represent the effete, liberal, self-important, blame-America-first snobs.

The "One's" web page for accepting online contributions has set its security and verification to the bare minimum for online fraud prevention according to those who have surveyed the campaign web site. Several bloggers like Patrick Ruffini note that small-dollar online contributions they have made to the B.O. campaign have gone through without the most cursory effort being made to verify something as simple as the donor's address.
Banks and credit card companys routinely use a feature called AVS (Address Verification Service) to filter out fake transactions and guard against credit card fraud. With AVS credit card processors are able the match a given credit card number with the address listed for the account holder to determine if the transaction is valid and authorized. What would turning off this most basic security feature buy the "One"? Well, there wouldn't be any safeguard against accepting multiple overseas contributions for starters and since individual contributions of less than $200 need not be publicly reported, a person could make multiple small contributions to the campaign over and above the $2,300 maximum allowed by the federal government.
The largesse of such legendary online Obama supporters like "Doodad Pro" of Nunda, NY and "Good Will" of Austin, TX even caught the attention of Michael Isikoff of Newsweek.
Consider the cases of Obama donors "Doodad Pro" of Nunda, N.Y., who gave $17,130, and "Good Will" of Austin, Texas, who gave more than $11,000—both in excess of the $2,300-per-person federal limit. In two recent letters to the Obama campaign, Federal Election Commission auditors flagged those (and other) donors and informed the campaign that the sums had to be returned. Neither name had ever been publicly reported because both individuals made online donations in $10 and $25 increments. "Good Will" listed his employer as "Loving" and his occupation as "You," while supplying as his address 1015 Norwood Park Boulevard, which is shared by the Austin nonprofit Goodwill Industries. Suzanha Burmeister, marketing director for Goodwill, said the group had "no clue" who the donor was.
"Doodad Pro" listed no occupation or employer; the contributor's listed address is shared by Lloyd and Lynn's Liquor Store in Nunda. "I have never heard of such an individual," says Diane Beardsley, who works at the store and is the mother of one of the owners. "Nobody at this store has that much money to contribute." (She added that a Doodad's Boutique, located next door, had closed a year ago, before the donations were made.)
(In a similar case earlier this year, the campaign returned $33,000 to two Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip who had bought T shirts in bulk from the campaign's online store. They had listed their address as "Ga.," which the campaign took to mean Georgia rather than Gaza.)
This summer, watchdog groups asked both campaigns to share more information about its small donors. The McCain campaign agreed; the Obama campaign did not.
I'm shocked! -- Shocked that the campaign of the post-partisan one declined an opportunity to provide more transparency in their fund-raising methods!
Regarding BarackObama.com's failure to activate AVS Ruffini writes, The ability to contribute with a false address, when the technology to prevent it not only exists but comes standard, is a green light for fraud......By turning this basic setting off, the Obama campaign invited this kind of fraud and has taken no steps to correct it.
Forgetting to don her protective Tinfoil Hat to guard against the Rovian mind rays, a Code Pink "protester" provides for a bit of entertaining video from SanFran as she tries to slap the cuffs on Carl Rove for "treason". Rove was participating in a panel discussion at the annual Mortgage Banker's Convention when spontaenous Bay Area lunacy errupted on the stage before the cameras. I guess if you're a successful American serving in an administration that provides the country with a strong defense and is the most pro-Israel of any of its predecessors and you happen to be a Christian, this qualifies you for citizen's arrest in the minds of crazed and frenzied leftists.
Get set for more of this kind of hilarity if Pelosi and her gang win big this November.
All the fawning publicity the alphabet soup networks have been doling out to Obama and the Democrats have put the squeeze on their ratings and what's left of their scant credibility. Drudge carries a news item on the steady drop in viewership experienced by the three major TV news organizations.
Great post from Way Up North lists 21 reasons why the Governor of the nation's largest state should not be Veep.
Some of the reasons listed include:
1) She is a Woman.
2) She does not believe in killing babies, born or unborn.
3) She is NOT endorsed by SusanSarandon, JaneFonda, RosieO'Donnell, HillaryClinton, Nancy Pelosi,Geraldine Ferrara, BarbaraWalters, HelenThomas, Ellen DeGeneris, Ted Kennedy,Keith Olberman, ChrisMatthews,Barbara Streisand, David Letterman, or others who fervently believein a Woman's Right to Choose (to kill babies).
4) She is married to a foreigner--a species called 'Native American'--meaning her five children are of "mixed ancestry."

Writing in Pajamas Media Clarice Feldman wonders, Why Aren’t the Feds Using RICO to Go After ACORN?
In the Saturday afternoon thrillers that occupied us as kids, after the settlers were beset by the rustlers and thieves, the sound of pounding hoofs and a plume of dust heralded that help, in the form of the United States cavalry, was on its way.
As I watch helplessly day after day as exhausted poll workers are swamped by tens of thousands — possibly hundreds of thousands — of forged, faked, and illegal voter registrations, preventing them from doing their job and assuring a fair and orderly election, I keep waiting for the cavalry in the form of the FBI and Department of Justice. But I hear no hoof beats and see no dust.
Feldman explains in her article why she believes that RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Practices Act) could be applied against the reported activities of ACORN.
RICO is a federal law providing extended penalties for those who commit any two of 35 crimes — 27 federal and eight state — within a 10-year period. The underlying crimes range from gambling to terrorism and include some offenses which would seemto cover the reported acts of ACORN (e.g., bribery, mail and phone fraud).
While the Feds haven't saddled-up there are a group of Ohioans who are riding to the rescue. The Buckeye Institue of whom former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell is a member filed suit against ACORN on October 14th on behalf of two Ohio voters under the Ohio Corrupt Practices Act. The OCPA is a state law similar to the federal RICO act reports Feldman.
In an October 14th article posted on their web site the Institute wrote that the, action filed in Warren County Court of Common Pleas alleges ACORN has engaged in a pattern of corrupt activity that amounts to organized crime. It seeks ACORN's dissolution as a legal entity, the revocation of any licenses in Ohio, and an injunction against fraudulent voter registration and other illegal activities.
In the article Buckeye Institute President David Hanson says, The right to cast a vote that is not diluted by fraudulent votes is a fundamental individual right. 'ACORN appears to be recklessly disregarding Ohio laws and adding thousands of fraudulent voters to the state's roles in the process,' Maurice Thompson, Director of the Buckeye Institute's 1851 Center for Constitutional Law said. 'Such voter fraud erodes the value of legally cast votes,' he added.
In addition, the complaint cites conduct by ACORN in Colorado, Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
A full copy of the Buckeye Institute's complaint can be viewed here.
Here's the feel good video of the day. Obama maniacs try to disrupt Sarah Palin's motorcade as it passed through town and get a face-full of asphalt for their trouble.
This Townhall Blogger makes some very sensational claims on what he says could be in store for us on Election Day.
The MSM, the entire Democratic party, and the Pumas know that the polls are fake. They will try to advance Obama any way they can and try to dishearten every single person that will vote for McCain/Palin..........They are, and will plant the seeds of racism at any cost. Acorn has added millions of false votes into the system for the purpose for taking this election after the polls are closed. When the counting starts the fascism will be in full display primarily to GOP election officials. They will be literally shoving people into the backroom and away from the ballots........The Democrats and the Main Stream Media can not accept another loss and clearly have made plans to steal this election.
Moseley links to these disturbing interviews from Democratic Party faithful who tell in chilling detail the fraud and intimidation they witnessed during the Democratic Party Primaries and Caucuses by supporters of Barack Obama. These segments are from a documentary about alleged voter fraud in the Democratic primary of 2008. The documentary by Gigi Gaston is called We Will Not Be Silenced.
Judi McLeod wants to know why the Obama camp and Democrat leaders like Nancy Pelosi are so confident of a win this November. What is it that Barack Obama knows that the rest of us don’t?
Meanwhile Hillary says it's time to forgive and forget as she admonishes her Democratic primary supporters in Palm Beach, Florida to Close the Deal for Obama. The New York Senator told her listeners, Just because the polls show us ahead don't pay any attention to that. We need you to vote. We need you to early vote. We need you to bring your friends and your neighbors to vote.

Citing overstated support for presidential candidate Barack Obama because of the zealousness of his supporters, media channels are worried that Election data they have compiled may present a false image of the Senator's popularity.
The Politico reports polling analyst Mark Blumenthal found exit polling results overestimated the robustness of Barack Obama's campaign during the Democratic primaries earlier this year.
Portions of the leaked report said, during the Democratic primaries this year, preliminary exit polls overestimated Obama's strength in 18 of 20 states, by an average error of 7 percentage points, based on leaked early results. The study found that supporters of Barack Obama were more likely to participate in exit polls.
Insurgent candidate Pat Buchanan’s support also was overstated in the 1992 New Hampshire Republican primary, a phenomenon attributed to the greater willingness of his impassioned supporters to participate in exit surveys.
More recently, in 2004, exit poll data that began circulating early in the afternoon led to short-lived Democratic elation and deep Republican anxiety. By evening, some of President George W. Bush’s key strategists were frantic, emailing reporters at polling organizations to better understand the gap between what they were finding on their own and what the leaked exit polls indicated.
As it turned out, preliminary exit polls overstated women’s turnout that year. This “programming error,” which affects the statistical method that pollsters use to match surveys to the electorate’s composition, was discovered by the third wave of exit polling.
Accurate sampling, however, is an even greater concern. In 2004, the over-sampling of women—who are more likely to be Democrats—was not the only error. Democrats, in general, turned out to be more likely to participate in the exit poll interviews than Republicans.
It also surfaced that younger interviewers, who hand out the paper questionnaire to voters, were less likely to get a response from older voters. Older voters are more likely Republican.
Polling is a very inexact science. Exit polling during the last presidential election indicated that John eFFin Kerry was going to be president in 2004. Just remember, Eighty-Four Percent Say They'd Never Lie To A Pollster says Ann Coulter.

Responding to former Arkansas Governor turned TV host Mike Huckabee on the Fox News channel, Joe Wurzelbacher known to the world as "Joe the Plummer" said of the negative coverage, It actually upsets me, I am a plumber, and just a plumber, and here Barack Obama or John McCain, I mean these guys are going to deal with some serious issues coming up shortly. The media's worried about whether I paid my taxes, they're worried about any number of silly things that have nothing to do with America. They really don't. I asked a question. When you can't ask a question to your leaders anymore, that gets scary. That bothers me.
The real Governor Sarah Palin appeared on NBC's Saturday Night Live opposite comedic foil Tina Fey, fellow 30 Rock star Alec Baldwin and SNL creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels.
In the opening skit Tina Fey impersonates the Governor while holding a faux news conference. Lorne Michaels stands backstage with the real Sarah Palin while Tina Fey is lampooning the Republican Vice-Presidential nominee. The scene is set backstage for Governor Palin's walk-on as Alec Baldwin joins Palin and Michaels and mistakes Palin for Tina Fey.
Alec Baldwin, known for his extremely liberal views says to Michaels, You can't let Tina go out there with that woman. She goes against everything we stand for, this is the most important election of our lifetime. Michaels points out to Baldwin that he is standing next to the real Sarah Palin. After a momentarily awkward pause Baldwin says, Forgive me, but I feel I must say this, you're way hotter in person. I can't believe they let her [referring to Fey], you know, play you. Without missing a beat, Palin responded, You know, your brother, Stephen (a McCain-Palin supporter) is my favorite Baldwin.
Palin later appears for the Weekend Update segment with Amy Poehler. For an election update funnylady Poehler begins rapping All the mavericks in the house, put your hands in air! Palin pumped her hands in the air while Eskimos, a moose, and a snowsuit-clad man danced on the set.
Telegraph Company UK's Toby Harnden was in Londonderry, New Hampshire to hear the messiah tell his supporters that together they were going to "change the world". The rally took on the quality of a religious campmeeting as Harnden reports, much of Mr Obama's speech in Londonderry - punctuated by cries of 'We all love you Obama', 'I love you' and 'We will work with you' - was devoted to the kind of quasi-religious sentiments and motivational-coach style exhortations, the kind of pride that set him up for a big fall in January.
'I want you to believe', said the candidate, clad in an open-necked shirt and barn jacket. 'Not so much believe just in me but believe in yourselves. Believe in the future. Believe in the future we can build together. I'm confident together we can't fail.'
There was a carnival atmosphere among the crowd of some 4,000, who almost drowned Mr Obama out as he reached his crescendo and said: 'I promise you. We won't just win New Hampshire. We will win this election and, you and I together, we're going to change the country and change the world.'

There is no question that western Pennsylvania is a racist area, said Pennsylvania Congressional Representitave John Murtha who represents the western portion of the Keystone state. Murtha's remarks were told to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette which posted the 17 term Congressman's liberal bon mot on its Web Site.
The Gazette reports that, It was the second time this year a prominent Pennsylvania Democrat questioned whether the state's white voters would cast ballots for Mr. Obama. In February, Gov. Ed Rendell told the Post-Gazette editorial board that the state has pockets of conservative white voters and 'I think there are some whites who are probably not ready to vote for an African-American candidate.'
Do you hear that Western PA? Jack Murtha and Ed Rendell say you're a bunch of racists for not supporting the messiah!
Ohio plummer Joe Wurzelbacher's impromptu streetside interview with Barack Obama may have just saved the nation from Obama's Neo-Marxist plan for America. During tonight's debate the subject of "Joe the Plummer" came up between Presidential contenders Senators John McCain of Arizona and Barack Obama of Illinois.
Here's Joe the Plummer confronting candidate Obama on his "spread the wealth around" plan for honest hard working Americans like Joe. Fox News correspondent Neil Cavuto interviews "Joe the Plummer" about his reactions on meeting and confronting Obama about his plan to take hard-earned money away from him and give it to someone else.

More than 20,000 wildly enthusiastic supporters rallied at the Richmond, Virginia Motor Speedway to hear Republican Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin roast Barack Obama and President Bush as big government spenders. The Washington Post's The Trail reported, "America, we cannot just afford another big spender in the White House," Palin said before a packed audience "Our country is facing tough times, and needs a tough man as president." While waiting for Palin to speak the entusiastic crowd chanted, No-bama! and We want FOX! before the governor's speech before supporters. Addressing the crowd former Virginia Attorney General Jerry Kilgore said, Now my friends, the liberal elite, a comment greeted by a round of booing from the crowd, they want you to believe this race is over, Kilgore's comment generated another round of boos. Kilgore said: "They want you to give up, they want you to stay home. Thank God you didn't listen. We are on the verge of a great victory, and victory starts right here in Virginia."Hank Williams Jr. took up the same theme when he sang a tune of the "McCain-Palin tradition." He mocked the "left-wing media" for writing negative stories about Republicans but quickly added, "The American people don't believe them anyway, you see."
Oh heavens and Obama! What will the Editors of the New York Times and Maureen Dowd have to say about all that uncontrolled emotion coming from a crowd of unfettered McCain-Palin supporters in Virginia? And at a Motor Speedway no less!

Founding Bloggers trace the unholy ancestry of B.O.'s political family lineage.
CPUSA (Communist Party USA) spawned the SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) CPUSA and the SDS and the Arkansas Community Organizations for Reform Now later named The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. Discover the Networks details the Weathermen's founding:
Weatherman (known colloquially as The Weathermen) was a political faction elected in 1968 to lead the radical group Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). The organization took its name from a line in the Bob Dylan song Subterranean Homesick Blues ("You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows"). Emerging in 1969 as the most militant wing of the SDS's Revolutionary Youth Movement, the fledgling Weatherman issued a "manifesto" eschewing nonviolence and calling instead for armed opposition to U.S. policies; advocating the overthrow of capitalism; exhorting white radicals to trigger a worldwide revolution by fighting in the streets of the "mother country"; and proclaiming that the time had come to launch a race war against the "white" United States on behalf of the non-white Third World.
Grounded in identity politics, Weatherman ideology and rhetoric rebelled against what later came to be known as America's "white skin privilege." Weatherman opposed the strategy of a rival SDS faction, Progressive Labor, which rejected the sexual and chemical excesses of the counter-cultural movements of the 1960s in favor of a purer, Marxist-Leninist popular front movement aimed at developing student-labor alliances.
Writing in City Journal Sol Stern traces ACORN's Nutty Regime for Cities.
ACORN’s bedrock assumption remains the ultra-Left’s familiar anti-capitalist redistributionism. “We are the majority, forged from all the minorities,” reads the group’s “People’s Platform,” whose prose Orwell would have derided as pure commissar-speak. “We will continue our fight . . . until we have shared the wealth, until we have won our freedom . . . . We have nothing to show for the work of our hand, the tax of our labor”—claptrap that not only falsifies the relative comfort of the poor in America but that also is a classic example of chutzpah, given ACORN’s origins in a movement that undermined the work ethic of the poor. But never mind—ACORN claims that it “stands virtually alone in its dedication to organizing the poor and powerless.” It organizes them to push for ever more government control of the economy, as if it had learned no lessons about the free-market magic that made American cities unexampled engines of job creation for more than a century, proliferating opportunity and catapulting millions out of misery.

In Columbus, Ohio U.S. District Court Judge George C. Smith ruled today that Ohio's Secretary of State is breaking Federal Election Law by not verifying the identity of newly registered voters with the state Bureau of Motor Vehicles and the federal Social Security Administration. The Judge also cited Brunner's failure to provide counties with the names of new voters whose records do not match those of government agencies. Brunner was given one week to comply with the Judges order.
The ruling follows Monday's drive by Obama supporting groups such as ACORN and Project Vote to register homeless people to vote in the buckeye state using free van and bus rides for prospective supporters of the Illinois Senator. Michelle Malkin reported on the scene, Shelby Holliday, a reporter for Palestra.net, filmed ACORN shuttling in some prospects. She told me she spoke with one homeless woman who said ACORN "told her who to vote for if she wanted a 'better life,' and told her not to worry about jury duty (one of the reasons this homeless woman didn't want to register) because the government probably wouldn't be able to track her down. She was registering with a temporary address."
Holliday interviewed another homeless man targeted by the registration drive who exulted that he was voting for Obama because "I want him to do his thang. You know, do his thug thizzle."
Thug thizzle indeed.
Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrahkan addresses a crowd of followers while standing behind a podium that commemorates "Nation of Islam Savior's Day 2008". Farrahkan declares, You are the instruments that God is going to use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth. And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn't care anything about. That's a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking.

In a recent post From The Road, CBS reporter Dean Reynolds notes the cavernous gap between the way the press corps assigned to cover the Obama Campaign is treated versus the way the McCain camp treats traveling members of the fourth estate.
Obama's campaign schedule is fuller, more hectic and seemingly improvisational. The Obama aides who deal with the national reporters on the campaign plane are often overwhelmed, overworked and un-informed about where, when, why or how the candidate is moving about. Baggage calls are preposterously early with the explanation that it's all for security reasons.
The national headquarters in Chicago airily dismisses complaints from journalists wondering why a schedule cannot be printed up or at least e-mailed in time to make coverage plans. Nor is there much sympathy for those of us who report for a newscast that airs in the early evening hours.
The McCain folks are more helpful and generally friendly. The schedules are printed on actual books you can hold in your hand, read, and then plan accordingly. The press aides are more knowledgeable and useful to us in the news media. The events are designed with a better eye, and for the simple needs of the press corps. When he is available, John McCain is friendly and loquacious. Obama holds news conferences, but seldom banters with the reporters who've been following him for thousands of miles around the country.
The other day in Albuquerque, N.M., the reporters were given almost no time to file their reports after McCain spoke. It was an important, aggressive speech, lambasting Obama's past associations. When we asked for more time to write up his remarks and prepare our reports, the campaign readily agreed to it. They understood.
Similar requests are often denied or ignored by the Obama campaign aides, apparently terrified that the candidate may have to wait 20 minutes to allow reporters to chronicle what he's just said.
Imagine that. Behind the scenes, the messiah is cold, aloof, unavailable and dismissive of those he deems unimportant, while McCain is folksy, considerate of others needs and enjoys chatting with people.
I wonder who else found him cold, aloof and insensitive?
Gee, for all the pious musings Obama made at Saddleback Church about how America's greatest moral failure is not having compassion for the least of these my brethern you'd think he'd want to show some compassion and consideration for people he can see on his plane who have been covering his campaign while traveling all over the country with him. It kinda' leaves you with the impression that the guy is an Arrogant, Hypocrite!

More hope and change for you from an old Obama supporter.
This clip from Hannity's America shows Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour, a black nationalist and outspoken enemy of Israel ranting against Jews and whites. Tariq al-Mansour sought the sponsorship of prominent friends for Barack Obama's entry into Harvard Law school.
Nice friend Obama.
Speaking at a campaign stop in Carson, California Sarah Palin brought up Obama's long association with William Ayers of the infamous Weather Underground. Ayers was a member of the domestic terror group who was responsible for setting off bombs at the Pentagon, New York City Police Headquarters and other targets during the sixties. In an interview released on September 11th 2001 Ayers said, I don't regret setting bombs, I feel we didn't do enough.
William Ayers is said to have summed up his group's ideals at the time as; Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that's where it's really at.
Oh, and Katie, one of the newspapers Sarah reads is the New York Times.

CBS funnyman David Letterman used last night's "interview" (Sarah Palin bashing session) with NBC News anchor Brian Williams as the stage to voice his obvious contempt for the Alaska Governor. Letterman expressed his frustration that Governor Palin, did not answer the question (no mention of what question) to his satisfaction during the Vice-Presidential debate. (She did say Dave, that she was not going to answer questions in the way Joe Biden or the moderator wanted her to remember?)
Letterman, the professed Independant of course made no mention of Joe Biden's flat out lie regarding Barack Obama's statement that he would meet unconditionally with Iran's President and with Hugo Chavez. More than once during the Democratic primary candidate debates Obama said he would meet without pre-conditions with America's enemies. (Probably just one of the reason's they like Obama so much and hate McCain and Palin even more) Sarah Palin called him out on his lie and Biden continued to deny the truth about his previous statements regarding Obama's inexperience and naivete'. But after all since Obama is the messiah he can't possibly be criticized by Letterman and his crowd.
During the taping, Letterman expressed that he like others in his business (Leno, O'Brian ?) were hoping for the proverbial train wreck, hoping that someone (meaning Palin) would crash and burn during the debate so then he could go home happy. Sarah didn't crash and burn according to the storyline that had been fed to Letterman and others in his business and he had to go home frustrated that she was not the Dolt that Chris Matthews had been telling him she was while watching MSNBC.
David later confessed that he was outraged, just outraged, I mean your flat-out, boxers-tied-in-a-knot kind of outraged that Palin asked Joe Biden at the beginning of the debate, Can I call you Joe? and then during a retort quipped, Say it ain't so Joe,....there you go again. while responding to one of Biden's whoppers. Mimicking Governor Palin, Letterman brought up the phrase and mentioned its context, the 1919 "Black Sox" scandal involving "Shoeless Joe Jackson" of the Chicago White Sox. Letterman then railed, She knows, I'll bet you everything I (indecipherable), she knows nothing about Shoeless Joe Jackson and the Black Sox. And claimed that it was a, cheesy, cheap set up on her part to invoke his first name so that later she could say 'Oh, say it ain't so Joe'.
In his lengthly response to Letterman, Brian Williams pointed out that Sarah's fans would say, "Well,...yeah, and your point is? They have the right, want the right and require the right to like her, and to want something different. She has to the disgust of liberals, (Like Letterman) touched a nerve out there starting with that convention speech. Williams goes on to mention, to the derisive chortling of Letterman and some in his audience, that Sarah Palin has had some rough patches during her two national network interviews.
Gee, let's think. Sarah's been on the national political for five weeks while campainging for the number two slot in her party's race for the White House. For her first interview with Charles Gibson, entire sections of her interview where she is seen deftly and articulately responding to the interviewer's questions were left out of ABC's broadcast and for her second foray into the land of the MSM, CBS hatchet-woman Katie Couric conducted what amounted more to an interrogation than an interview in an effort to "get Palin". In fact, Couric ordered staff to drop all references to "Governor" or "Gov." from her interview with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
The Washington Prowler reports, Ultimately the higher ups at CBS News agreed, saying that wherever possible, the reference to "Governor" should be struck from graphics, scripts and published transcripts. In fact, based on perusal of the CBS website, between video and print, there is only one reference to Palin as Governor, and that is buried in a subhead on the splash page of the interview transcript.
Let's see how this works since the fix is in according to one of the people working in the bowels of the MSM newrooms. First, arrive at a consensus between the networks on the storyline that you will construct around Governor Palin, (She's dumb, she's a hick from nowheresville, she's inexperienced, she burns books, she's a fundalmentalist christian; did I cover them all Dave? ) then the anchors try to set her up under the pretext of an "interview" and use "cherry-picked" (Isn't that the term that you and the Obama campaign like to use when defending Obama's Pastor of 20 years, GodDamnAmericaJeremiahWright?) to disseminate a false and misleading image of the Governor of the largest state in the Union. Finally, when the McCain-Palin team won't play your version of the game complain that Sarah Palin only gave two interviews to the national media. Ahh,Ha,Ha,Ha. By the way. You're a public figure Dave. You've been in the national spotlight for decades. How many interviews have you granted? - Just asking.
A few unsettling things really jump out at me when I watch this interview.
One is the personal animus and contempt that David Letterman has for Sarah Palin. I used to think that the funny jokes and skits about Palin were part and parcel of entertainers poking fun at political luminaries that they found curious. Watching this interview where Letterman expresses his near-hatred for the woman shows me the engine (ugly wiring and all) that is driving this campaign to discredit Palin. He's not just having fun, he's on a personal quest to try and destroy her.
Next is the mocking tone that Letterman uses when referring to Governor Palin. He raises the pitch of his voice mimicking an old lady and wisecracks about her worrying about her hair, not possibly being able to know who "Shoeless Joe Jackson" and the 1919 Chicago Blacksox were, because after all, she's just a woman. That's the subtext that's clearly in play here and I'm really disappointed although not too surprised that Brian Williams let that bit about Palin fussing over her hair and "how could she possibly know about the Blacksox" pass without contention. And oh by the way, Sarah Palin was the local Sportscaster at her local TV station, a sports nut and was the point guard of her High School championship Basketball team, so yes Dave she would know about "Shoeless Joe" and the 1919 Backsox. Feminists would rightly call those kinds of grotesque characterizations of women; Male Chauvinism.
Lastly, it has to be said that Sarah Palin rises from the strata in life we know as middle-America.
Her parents were both school teachers, she went to public schools and attended small colleges where she earned her undergraduate degrees. Her husband is a proud Union member Oil Field worker and fisherman. She was the president of the PTA before she entered public life. She attends church with her family, supports gun rights, the rights of the unborn and is a hockey-mom. All of these things make her anathema to northeastern liberals. But David Letterman's disdain for Sarah Palin betrays a fundamental disdain that he holds for everyday Americans like Sarah and "First Dude" Todd Palin. Sarah and Todd don't come from money and position in life. They made their way like others in America make their way, starting a family, buying a home, paying their way as they worked to make ends meet. There probably were many times when they had too much month to show for too little pay. But through it all with faith in God's provision and faith that hard work pays off they kept at it and now because of Sarah's success as Mayor of Alaska's fifth largest city and Governor of the country's largest state find themselves suddenly thrust into the spotlight of a high-stakes presidential election. And rather than take the time to get to know these folks who hail from such humble and colorful circumstances talking-heads like Letterman look down their noses at them and take every opportunity to treat them like dirt. It doesn't speak well of Letterman who himself comes from obscure beginnings that he should treat these fellow travellers from that land of middle-America in the disgraceful manner that he has. It's clear that he has lost his moorings while trolling around Martha's Vineyard.

Governor Sarah Palin who had been belittled by the lamestream media and their not-so-funny late night tag-a-long wise guys rocked the V.P. debate last night, recovering nicely from the ambush Katie Couric had set for her during a recent CBS interview she held with the diva of the tiffany network. The mainstream media and their late night comics had their storyline all worked out. Sarah Palin was supposed to be a nobody from nowhereville, a hick with no real world experience. She was supposed to just crumble under all the negative trash talk they could muster against her from every outlet at their disposal. Instead, this candidate from the Land of the Midnight Sun came into the high-pressure, high-stakes debate calm, cool, collected, poised, friendly, intelligent, articulate and down-to-earth. She made fools of the whole lot of them.
Palin's performance debut on the National and International political stage was nothing less than brilliant. After a friendly exchange of pleasantries both candidates went at it, starting with remarks the covered the economy, taxes, partisanship, funding for the Iraq war and flip-flops by Obama on troop funding. You could see that Biden while remaining friendly and congenial during the debate was taken back by Palin's articulate, informed and confident manner. Going into the debate the Delaware Senator may have been led to believe that Palin would be a light-weight, halting, easy opponent to best in the forum that night. That illusion quickly evaporated when Palin did not retreat from rhetorical barbs thrown at her by Senator from the first state who tried to associate her and McCain with the shortcomings of the Bush administration. Palin quickly deflected those comments and went on the attack, pointing to Obama's move to cut troop funding after promissing he would not and hitting Joe Biden with comments he had made during the Democratic debates doubting Obama's experience and ability to lead and quoted Biden's flat out statements saying Obama was not ready to be President.
Some of the clean hits that Palin landed during the debate while pleasantly smiling into the cameras were:
After Senator Biden riffed about McCain voting to raise taxes and not going along with Wall Street regulation Gwen Ifill directed the question to Palin;
IFILL: Would you like to have an opportunity to answer that before we move on?
PALIN: I'm still on the tax thing because I want to correct you on that again. And I want to let you know what I did as a mayor and as a governor. And I may not answer the questions that either the moderator or you want to hear, but I'm going to talk straight to the American people and let them know my track record also.
Later, Senator Biden went on to promote his ticket's tax plan sounding the familiar "tax breaks for the rich" meme, which prompted this response from Governor Palin, I do take issue with some of the principle there with that redistribution of wealth principle that seems to be espoused by you. But when you talk about Barack's plan to tax increase affecting only those making $250,000 a year or more, you're forgetting millions of small businesses that are going to fit into that category. So they're going to be the ones paying higher taxes thus resulting in fewer jobs being created and less productivity. Now you said recently that higher taxes or asking for higher taxes or paying higher taxes is patriotic. In the middle class of America which is where Todd and I have been all of our lives, that's not patriotic. Patriotic is saying, government, you know, you're not always the solution. In fact, too often you're the problem so, government, lessen the tax burden and on our families and get out of the way and let the private sector and our families grow and thrive and prosper. An increased tax formula that Barack Obama is proposing in addition to nearly a trillion dollars in new spending that he's proposing is the backwards way of trying to grow our economy.
After an exchange between the candidates over oil companies and tax cuts Palin responded; Well, the nice thing about running with John McCain is I can assure you he doesn't tell one thing to one group and then turns around and tells something else to another group, including his plans that will make this bailout plan, this rescue plan, even better. I want to go back to the energy plan, though, because this is -- this is an important one that Barack Obama, he voted for in '05. Senator Biden, you would remember that, in that energy plan that Obama voted for, that's what gave those oil companies those big tax breaks. Your running mate voted for that.
On the Obama-Biden ticket's plan for pulling out of Iraq Palin responded, Your plan is a white flag of surrender in Iraq and that is not what our troops need to hear today, that's for sure. And it's not what our nation needs to be able to count on. You guys opposed the surge. The surge worked. Barack Obama still can't admit the surge works.
In her response to Biden's hectoring about the pecadillos of the Bush administration in handling affairs in the Middle-East she quipped, for a ticket that wants to talk about change and looking into the future, there's just too much finger-pointing backwards to ever make us believe that that's where you're going.
After listening to another round of Bush-Bashing by the Senator over the economy as viewed from Main Street USA, conduct of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan Palin responed and then turned the discussion to education.
Palin: Say it ain't so, Joe, there you go again pointing backwards again. You preferenced your whole comment with the Bush administration. Now doggone it, let's look ahead and tell Americans what we have to plan to do for them in the future. You mentioned education and I'm glad you did. I know education you are passionate about with your wife being a teacher for 30 years, and God bless her. Her reward is in heaven, right? I say, too, with education, America needs to be putting a lot more focus on that and our schools have got to be really ramped up in terms of the funding that they are deserving. Teachers needed to be paid more. I come from a house full of school teachers. My grandma was, my dad who is in the audience today, he's a schoolteacher, had been for many years. My brother, who I think is the best schoolteacher in the year, and here's a shout-out to all those third graders at Gladys Wood Elementary School, you get extra credit for watching the debate.
(That's taking it down home)
Lastly in her closing remarks thanking Senator Biden and moderator Gwen Ifill, Palin said, Well, again, Gwen, I do want to thank you and the commission. This is such an honor for me.
And I appreciate, too, Senator Biden, getting to meet you, finally, also, and getting to debate with you. And I would like more opportunity for this. I like being able to answer these tough questions without the filter, even, of the mainstream media kind of telling viewers what they've just heard. I'd rather be able to just speak to the American people like we just did. And it's so important that the American people know of the choices that they have on November 4th. I want to assure you that John McCain and I, we're going to fight for America. We're going to fight for the middle-class, average, everyday American family like mine.
Brilliant. Just Brilliant. No wonder teammates on her championship high school basketball squad used to call her Sarahcuda. She beat Joe Biden in the debate, showed the country (and the world) that she's got the chops and punked the mainstream media without breaking her stride, a sweat or her smile.
You GO GIRL!

Major high fives and congratulations to Neal E. Boyd, the Season 3 winner of America's Got Talent!
With his perfect tenor voice, this guy can reach into the very depths of the human soul and move audiences in ways not seen since the brilliant operatic performances of Placedo Domingo and the late Lucianno Pavarotti.
Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit posted an email he received from one of his readers at a major newsroom. It explains why the Obama-Biden campaign gets nothing but puffy human-interest stories while McCain-Palin is subjected to the utmost in hostile interrogation and "gotcha questions" sprinkled with generous helpings of phony scandal mongering from "anonymous sources".
Off the record, every suspicion you have about MSM being in the tank for O is true. We have a team of 4 people going thru dumpsters in Alaska and 4 in arizona. Not a single one looking into Acorn, Ayers or Freddiemae. Editor refuses to publish anything that would jeopardize election for O, and betting you dollars to donuts same is true at NYT, others. People cheer when CNN or NBC run another Palin-mocking but raising any reasonable inquiry into obama is derided or flat out ignored. The fix is in, and its working." I asked permission to reprint without attribution and it was granted.
No wonder we don't hear so much as a peep about Obama's considerable dirty laundy, unsavory political associations and questionable loyalties. The only way to get any major news organization to print real news about the big O is to push, cajole and pinch it out of them.
Very disturbing video. Children are coached and rehearsed to sing the praises of a political figure as though he were the Messiah Himself. This isn't happening in Kim Jong Ill's North Korea or Fidel Castro's Cuba or even back in the darkest days of the Soviet Union with Young Pioneers coached to sing songs extolling the larger-than-life virtues of Josef Stalin. No this happened in Southern California with children singing about how by following Obama, the One of whom they sing will spread happiness, freedom and change around the world. "We're gonna change the World" Obama's over-amped boosters have officially crossed the line from mere political acolytes to full-blown cult.
